You’ve heard of Black Friday, Cyber Monday & Taco Tuesday (my favorite), but have you heard of Giving Tuesday?

Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.

Back in September, the Humane Society of Tampa Bay started planning their Giving Tuesday campaign and told me I was the first photographer they thought of. I was so honored. When I was working with the Humane Society of Broward County, we also were able to raise a lot of money on Giving Tuesday with unique photos and videos, so I was thrilled to be part of another campaign.

This campaign raised $9,500 for the shelter in one day!

I wasn’t able to share these photos prior to Giving Tuesday, but now that the shelter’s campaign has launched, I can happily share the photos of GP, the Greatest Pig and the self-appointed liaison between pets and people. I did share this behind the scenes photo on my Facebook page during the shoot though.

GP was the life of the Birthday Party. Did you know you can host your Birthday at the shelter?

GP really took to Leslie, one of the shelter staff. She was a great handler too.

GP has so many friends at the shelter, he wanted to help fill out some adoption paper work to help them find their forever homes.

The Humane Society of Tampa Bay has a beautiful Cat Lanai where cats have access to going inside and out.

Some of the pets at the shelter have never seen a Guinea Pig before, so they were naturally curious.

Here is GP in the surgery area. This is one of my favorite photos from the shoot.

The outdoor photos were the most technically challenging, but I love how they turned out too.

GP loved hanging out with his K9 friends during the shoot too. My belly was on the floor to get this photo.

GP has a very unique coat and he poops little pellets.

GP also wanted to hang out in the small dog room. Here he is taking another break.

GP likes to oversee the shelter. He takes his role very seriously.

The shelter also has their own separate animal hospital and GP loves splashing around in the water fountain in the lobby.

The rocks provide a solid place to hang and cool off.

I also host Pet Photo Shoot Fundraisers for the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. You can get professional photos of your pet and a portion of the proceeds goes back to the shelter.
