Animal shelters all over the country are full of pets in need of homes.
According to the ASPCA “6.5 Million Companion animals enter animal shelters every year. Each year, approximately 1.5 million shelter animals are euthanized (670,000 dogs and 860,000 cats). The number of dogs and cats euthanized in U.S. shelters annually has declined from approximately 2.6 million in 2011. This decline can be partially explained by an increase in the percentage of animals adopted and an increase in the number of stray animals successfully returned to their owners.”
The goal of this photo gallery is to promote pet adoption in public places where the community is least likely to expect it. We teamed up with Pottery Barn and Humane Society Tampa Bay to bring necessary attention to animals that are still in need of homes.
The gallery will be updated periodically with new photos of adoptable pets. If you come across the gallery, take a photo, share it online and encourage your friends and family to adopt their next pet.
The gallery is located at Pottery Barn Hyde Park Village in Tampa, Florida. The address is 802 S Village Circle, Tampa, FL 33606.
Check out Humane Society Tampa Bay to see who else is available for adoption.
