Humane Society Tampa Bay recently asked me to take the cover photo for their upcoming quarterly newsletter, Making Tracks. The subjects for the photo were Meredith and Olivia. Olivia is 1 of the 200 foster animals Meredith has cared for. Lori, a Vet Tech with the shelter adopted Meredith 3 years ago and the pair has been the shelter’s most active foster family ever since.
Meredith was transferred initially from Pasco County Animal Services back in 2014 and she was heartworm positive, had significant hair loss and was nursing a single puppy. As she went into foster care with Lori, two additional underage puppies were added and Meredith accepted them and allowed them to nurse.
Olivia, the kitten, was found by a volunteer the day before Hurricane Irma struck. Lori bottle fed her while Meredith did her job of snuggling, cleaning, and caring for the kitten.
You can see more photos of Meredith and the animal she has helped foster in the Winter issue of Humane Society Tampa Bay’s Making Tracks. You can also see a behind the scenes video from the shoot on the Humane Society Tampa Bay Facebook Page.
