Brooklyn may be missing an ear, but she isn’t missing a beat. Brooklyn came into her Mom’s life when one of her tenants could no longer care for her. After a trip to the vet, she found out that Brooklyn had heart worm.
Brooklyn didn’t take well to the heart worm treatment and almost passed away. After some research about alternative remedies, the herbs Brooklyn was given seemed to work well for her.
A few years later, Brooklyn developed a small Mast Cell Tumor on her ear. Her vet recommended her ear be removed because it was likely that she would develop another tumor in the same area. Her pet insurance luckily covered all of her chemo.
Brooklyn didn’t take well to the cancer treatment either and ended up on a medicine from the UK. She was able to obtain it with a letter from her vet stating that nothing else was working.
Brooklyn is about 7 years old, has 3 doggy siblings and is as happy and playful as ever.
