I recently got to meet Betty White at a Pet Photo Shoot Fundraiser. She’s currently in a foster home and is available for adoption from Dogma Pet Rescue. Below is her write up from her Foster Family and if you are interested in adopting her, please visit dogmarescue.org
“Betty White came to us from Hillsborough County Animal Services where she had been picked up as a stray. It was clear to us that she had suffered many, many years of neglect as she had one of the worst skin infections we had ever seen. She was actually suffering from several different skin infections! Poor Betty was also emaciated.
It took months, the best veterinary care and a lot of medications, but her skin infections finally cleared and
as she got better, her appetite improved and she put on weight! She was finally healthy enough to be spayed and she is now able to be adopted to her Forever Home!
Her foster parents have LOVED getting to know Betty White and see her transform from a sad, sick dog to a healthy, happy, playful little girl!
Betty While LOVES TOYS! She carries around stuffed animals and chews on antlers and she loves snuggling with her foster parents! Ms. White is also very social and loves going on outings to outdoor plays and to dog-friendly restaurants. She likes older, low-key dogs and would do well in a home with a dog like this or as an only dog.
Betty White is about 7 years old and weighs about 10 lbs. She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm tested (neg) and is no longer on any medicine for her skin condition and her adoption donation is $75.”
