Last month, I shared a story about Robin, a homeless woman and her three-legged dog Nikki. My friend Meagan introduced me to them originally and we decided to raise some money for her, to get her back on her feet.
Well, yesterday we gave her the money we collected. We were able to raise $500 using GoFundMe. After taxes and fees from purchasing the gift cards and GoFundMe, Robin was the happy recipient of $400. We are also happy to report that she is meeting with a social worker to secure housing.
As soon as Meagan gave her the money, she picked up Robin from her wagon and said “Nikki, we have somewhere to sleep tonight!”
