After our first Today at Apple session in Washington, DC, we were invited by the Aventura Apple Store to host another Photo Lab for the South Florida community.

Hosting this Today at Apple session was special because it’s very close to the animal shelter where everything started, the Humane Society of Broward County.

Our Keynote included my story working at an animal shelter, the story of how Mary and I met, our annual road trip, our adoption photos and some of our special projects.

89 people attended the event and we also had 16 dogs. The team at Apple was amazing, very supportive and really genuine about their feedback. We saw friends, previous clients and met a lot of new noses to boop too!

After we shared our story and our mission, we led a hands on session where we taught attendees how to use their iPhones to get better photos of their pets.

Zukes also provided sample bags of treats to all the attendees, which helped get their dog’s attention for a photo.

Mary and I arrived 2 hours prior to our Keynote’s start time.
We hung out in the Board Room to prepare, review changes and discuss the timeline. Bee and Rigby couldn’t be there physically, but we brought their cut outs with us instead.
We highlighted a few before and after comparisons of our adoption photos.
We also showed a sampling of our favorite treat catching photos
Our visit to Best Friends Animal Society in Utah was also highlighted.
Seeing our photos on a giant screen is such a thrill. The dog’s head was the size of a house!
We gave tips and tricks to attendees to on how to get better photos of their pets with their iPhones as well.

We have another Today at Apple session in the works, but we’ll have more details on that later.

We also got the chance to promote our next series of Pet Photo Shoots in South Florida in April. We have an event in Miami on Saturday, April 25th and in Ft. Lauderdale on April 26th.
