This is Story. She was dumped and left for dead in a swamp somewhere in Hernando county, which apparently is becoming a huge problem in that area. Story is blind, heartworm positive and has some serious arthritis issues. Luckily, someone spotted her and she was rescued after quite an ordeal. You might have seen her story on ABC Action News – WFTS – Tampa Bay.
The moral of Story’s story is that dogs shouldn’t be dumped. They should be brought to an animal shelter or re-homed. Story now has a loving home and is being well taken care of.

When she was found, she didn’t have the energy to stand and was severely emaciated. It’s remarkable how resilient dogs can be and Story is no different. She was left for dead in a swamp, but her demeanor and overall disposition is improving on a daily basis.
