Why This Second Shot Fundraiser Matters
10 years ago, I photographed adoptable animals for the very first time.
I had no idea that one photo shoot would turn into a mission.
Since then, I’ve photographed thousands of shelter pets and launched Second Shot, a program that replaces intake photos with new photos and videos to help adoptable animals get seen.
These gold balloons say “10,” but what they really represent is every shelter pet who deserves more than one photo taken on the hardest day of their life.
To celebrate 10 years, Second Shot is launching Friend-Raisers — a new way for anyone to create their own fundraiser and help sponsor photo shoots for shelter pets.
My goal is to raise $1,000, which will fund new photos and videos for 10 shelter pets.
