Litter of 5 Puppies Surrendered to Denver Service Dog Organization
We recently met London, a Service Dog in Training with Freedom Service Dogs of America, in Denver Colorado at Comrade Brewing Company.
She came to one of our many Colorado area Pet Photo Shoot Fundraisers.
London was surrendered to Freedom Service Dogs by a breeder with her 4 siblings in an effort to avoid them being surrendered to a shelter.
“After we brought them to our facility and evaluated their overall health, all five pups went to the prison program for about six months to perfect potty training and basic training overall. They returned to Freedom Service Dogs at the beginning of the year and began their advanced training. London and her sister, Monaco, are the only pups left in training from their litter. The other three were released from our program and were adopted out to loving homes,” Nadine Pace, Development and Events Manager with Freedom Service Dogs told us.
Taking photos of London could not have been any easier (photos from her photo shoot are below). She is very well trained, knows sit, stay, up, back up and when you say “uh-oh”, she knows that isn’t something you want her to do.
“Training London is a joy. She was one of my first dogs as a trainer here at Freedom Service Dogs, so we have a special bond. She is a very quick learner, especially when you make learning tasks a game. Her favorite is to open a door or turn on lights and then get to visit her friends as a reward.
We are hoping to get her placed in September when she is a year and a half old. She makes a great service dog because she is eager to please, and brings joy wherever she goes. She is going to light up someone’s life!,” Irene Fobe, London’s Freedom Service Dogs of America Trainer, told us.
